Red Storm’s Managing Director Steve Reid, Sound Designer Matte Wagner, and I had an excellent trip to the Carolina Game Summit in Goldsboro, NC.
At our table between the main auditorium and the seminar room, we had the opportunity to spend several hours talking to members of our enthusiastic community about Ghost Recon and the processes of Game Development.
Between the conversations and the questions, I took a few moments to walk the summit and snap pictures of some of the other exhibitors and hand out some VIP Beta dog tags for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. While wandering, I snuck in to Steve Reid’s lecture on the differences between character concept development and illustration and the CGS Costume Contest.
The costume contest had some neat entries including a Shawn of the Dead and a Minecraft Dude. Additionally the 501st Legion was there in full regalia, including Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and Boba Fett costumes.
Lastly, but certainly not least, we met the folks from Penny Dreadful Productions who are working on a very cool post-apocalyptic steampunk inspired film, Remnant. We had the opportunity to check out the teaser trailer for Remnant (which you can find on their website) and snap a few pictures with them in costume.
Thank you to everyone who came out to visit us. We had a fun time talking with everyone and are looking forward to meeting more of you at our next community event!
