How Our Song Made The Setlist

Being a developer on Rocksmith 2014 has some cool perks – guitars, launch parties, teaching the world to play an instrument, shots of Jack, getting your band in the game… wait… what?!

Senior Environment Artist Marc Campbell tells us about the experience of getting a track by his band, Bedowyn’s Snarling of Beasts, added to the set-list for Rocksmith 2014.

Check out Bedowyn’s full album on and make sure you pick up Rocksmith 2014 and unlock the track!

How To Sharpen Pencils

We love to highlight the independent projects of our team members. With such a diverse and talented group of people, it is no surprise that creativity extends beyond the walls of our studio.

Today we’re featuring a film by Kenneth Price, How To Sharpen Pencils, with sound mixing by Justin Drust and composition by Francis Dyer.

How To Sharpen Pencils is a practical and theoretical treatise on the artisanal craft of pencil sharpening. The number one #2 pencil sharpener in the world, David Rees takes viewers through the delicate process of sharpening a pencil by hand.

Red Storm, 17 and Better than Ever

Studio Lobby Halloween

If you take a look around our website, you might notice that things have changed a lot – and that’s for a good reason.

Today marks Red Storm’s 17th anniversary, which means it’s the perfect time for us to show off a new website, and with it, some of the new features and new faces of the studio.

In redesigning our site, we’ve pushed for bold, dynamic visuals and an emphasis on simplicity. This mirrors our ongoing commitment to improving the experience of our team and of our community, which is to say, you. And to put it all together, we’re featuring a short video that shows off some of those changes. We hope you’ll enjoy them as much as we enjoyed putting them together for you.

And finally, we want to say a big thank you to all of you out there: friends, family, fans and team members. Together, you are what has always made our studio unique, and what will keep driving us forward into the future. We wouldn’t be here, doing the things we love, without you.

So welcome to the new face of Red Storm. And please, leave us comments and give us feedback. We’d love to hear what you think.
